Holly Springs is located south of the center of Cherokee County. It is bordered by the City of Canton, to the north, and by the City of Woodstock to the south. City of Waleska

Waleska, a small town just north of Canton, is so named for Warluskee, the daughter of a local Cherokee chief who lived in the area and was removed during the Trail of Tears. Waleska is home to Reinhardt University, which began as an academy to serve the area’s impoverished children, but today is one of Georgia’s outstanding educational institutions.
